Hi all, Roy here…

As you may already know, there won’t be new episode of My Fair Hunter while Sarah is in Japan.  I may try to come up with some means of generating some similar content in the future so stay tuned for that!  In the meantime, please enjoy this episode of the Monster Hunter Video Podcast in which Sarah makes a special guest appearance!

After much delay, we’re happy to finally bring you guys episode 52!  As Roy mentions we decided to scrap our social night episode.  I hope you guys understand and our apologies to everyone we hunted with!

To make up for it we have an episode packed with quests!  We take on a Lagi, a Qurupeco with a Felyne hoarding problem, and not one but TWO Uragaans!  The last quest proved to be a real challenge, but as we get closer to Sarah meeting the final monster in the game, we need to continually challenge ourselves!

For episode 51 we talk about all the recent Monster Hunter news while completing Sarah’s final four-star quest.  Wouldn’t ya know it, her last quest was the Gobul this whole time!  Next we face a Gigginox while discussing the zen qualities of Felynes.

*NOTE: Our next social night will be this Friday (9/28).  You can find all the details on where and when to hunt with us here.

If you live in a cave and have yet to see the new Monster Hunter trailers you can find them here:

For episode… 50!? W-we’ve already recorded 50 episodes!? Excuse us for a round of back-patting and high-fiving.

OK — focus! For this episode we have a very special guest on the show who we flew out first class from their fortress of solitude. Where did we get the money, you ask? It’s a little known fact that every Qurupeco carries a secret stash of milk money somewhere on their person. Needless to say we’ve beaten up quite a few Qurupecos!

With this mystery guest in our party, Sarah picks several monsters that have made an impact on her over the past fifty episodes. Some through style and song, others through brute force and bizarre eating habits.

Oh, and as promised here is a video of our kitten being cute.

Also here is the image Sarah made of Nick Cage assuming the role of Ice Cube assuming the role of Cha-cha in the upcoming Monster Hunter film:

I already can’t wait for the Criterion edition.

In part two of our August social night episode, our valiant heroes battle thirst and fatigue to hunt with as many people as possible.  Will they be able to pull through or will the night end in a carting?  Will Flip show up with his Great Sword to save the day?  All your burning questions will be answered in this episode of My Fair Hunter!

Submissions of beginners tips are really picking up!  Thanks to all of you who have already sent us your sage advice.  To those who haven’t, you have until next Friday.  For all the details please see our previous post on the subject.

To keep everyone’s thinking caps tightly affixed, we’ve decided to ask guests from past episodes to offer their answers.  Today I bring you Mikey’s answer:

When I started playing Monster Hunter I neglected what I think is the most important part of the game, Offline. The village really helps me stay one step ahead when it comes to playing online in the beginning. Not only could I grind for simple drops not to burden my other teammate but I would be prepared for every situation with an endless amount of honey from my farm.

Ah yes, I recall the hunters who would rush into the online, only interested in fighting monsters.  They’d always be the first to run out of potions and their armor sets were a mess!  Without the offline foundation, it’s hard for a hunter to be properly prepared for the online world of Monster Hunter.

To keep everyone’s thinking caps tightly affixed, we’ve decided to ask guests from past episodes to offer their answers.  Today I bring you Krystian’s answer:

The advice I would have given is to explain how the armor skills work. It took me some time to figure them out. And once I did, the game became so much richer and deeper. Judging from the players I see on-line, it seems like one of the things many people get wrong.
