This week Sarah finally gets her full set of charms and talismans in preparation for the final battle! We also attempt (repeatedly) to clear her final five-star quest: hunt a Lagiacrus! We talk movies, Combos, Birthday parties and more! Join us for perhaps the most anti-climactic episode of My Fair Hunter ever!
The My Fair Hunter team is gearing up for ConnectiCon! Today we combined our efforts to make some cards to hand out at the show. They feature all the basic info on where to find us on the web, as well as a cute Lagiacrus sketch. Funny story: this sketch was actually the basis for our Lagiacrus wallpaper Sarah drew a while ago. I loved the drawing but knew he was much too small to use on the site… but he’s the perfect size for a business card!
As I mentioned on Monday, Sarah has been under the weather so we could not record a podcast this week. I would host on my own, but we all know how boring that would be… Instead I’ve decided to take the best clips from our recent online hunts with some of you! There was about four hours of footage to sift through, but I managed to capture some pretty good moments. My apologies if you joined us but didn’t make the cut — I tried to include as many hunts as possible. Finally, thank you all for the well wishes to Sarah! She is slowly recovering and we both hope she’ll be fighting fit as soon as possible!
This week we return to the offline of Monster Hunter Tri, where Sarah is tasked with slaying the Lagiacrus singlehandedly. Meanwhile I sit on the sidelines and do what I do best: come up with terrible banter. Can Sarah slay the Lagi, or will Cha-cha get in her way yet again? Will I succeed in producing a mind-numbing stream of banter or will I fall asleep without a controller in my hands? Find out!
P.S Sorry this week’s episode is shorter than normal, we had some plans for a better episode but they fell through. Next week we will make up for it!
This week I had a bunch of Monster Hunting action recorded so I put together some of our more interesting clips for episode 21. First is a bit of online multiplayer with some friends of the show. When we recorded this, Sarah’s HR was still less than 17, so the best challenge afforded to us was to fight the Qurupeco and let him summon a second monster. After that, we try our hand at the Lagiacrus in the offline arena.
This weekend we recorded our 20th episode of My Fair Hunter — I would consider that a major milestone! To commemorate this event, Sarah spent the better part of the weekend on this amazing Lagiacruz wallpaper for you guys. Download it, put it on a USB drive, go to your local Library or Kinkos and set it as the wallpaper for as many computers as you can. Or just your own computer is fine too. Enjoy the wallpapers and thank you all for your continued support! Look forward to many more episodes and more great Monster Hunter art.

The past week Sarah spent in deep meditation under a waterfall, focusing her mind like a prison shank on her new sworn enemy: the Lagiacrus. I admit I had my doubts about whether it would be enough, considering the licking the Lagi gave us last week. Find out if my doubts were right, or if Sarah’s mind-shank will get another tick mark for yet another slain enemy.
Also, as mentioned in this episode, we’ve begun selling prints of the images Sarah has drawn for the show. You can find them all here, and we’ll be adding any future art to the shop as well. Finally, if you’d like to request a commission from Sarah, feel free to e-mail us and we can get back to you about a price. And please — Zenny is not accepted. Thank you.
Ringing in the new year, Sarah attempts to tackle both the online and offline Lagiacrus advancement quests. First she will attempt to repel said beast offline, then I join her for her online for the kill quest. A few of my friends and seasoned hunters join in for commentary about our endeavors and some terrible Christmas cookies. Don’t forget to check out our bonus holiday special!
